The Aerostars Aerobatic Flight Team, a precision aerobatic demo team sponsored by Phillips 66 Lubricants, is scheduled to appear in an upcoming season 3 episode of "The Aviators" this September on PBS. Known to embody "teamwork, professionalism and commitment," the Aerostars perform spectacular breakaways, incredible dives and synchronized sparing in the Yak 52 TW, a former Soviet-designed, Romania-built WWII-type aerobatic trainer. Phillips 66 Lubricants is proud to support the Aerostars, providing them with all the Phillips 66 X/C® Aviation Engine Oil they need to keep their 9-cylindar engines running and in excellent condition.
"The Aviators" is an award-winning weekly TV series on PBS showcasing the latest and greatest in-flight technology, interesting pilots and all-things aviation. In this upcoming episode, you can see the Aerostars team flying within a few feet of each other at speeds exceeding 250 mph, performing seemingly effortless formation loops and barrel rolls, which are always crowd-pleasers!
