Team Kendall Racer of the Month - July 2012 - Ryan Hall
After spending most of his childhood listening to his grandfather's racing stories, Ryan Hall knew he wanted to follow in his footsteps. As it turns out, Hall made the right choice - impressing the crowds on the track since his father gave him his first Go Kart at the age of 10. Just a few years later, he won the Track Championship at Hardeeville Motor Speedway in Hardeeville, S.C., a pivotal point in his early racing career. And just this year alone, Hall has finished in the top five in eight out of 10 races. He's also grabbed the title of Team Kendall's July Racer of the Month, an accolade earned through an exciting competition on the Kendall Motor Oil Facebook page, and we congratulate him on this honor.
While his recent success has been thrilling, Hall's most cherished win happened last year at the Florence Motor Speedway in Florence, S.C. There, he took first place with the car his grandfather bought him - a 2012 Chevy Impala Super Sport - just a few months after he passed away. "It means so much to me that I was able to pull a win for my granddad because if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be racing," Hall shared.
Not only has racing been a big part of the Hall family, but the brand of oil they use has been passed down through generations as well. At the age of 26, Hall is one of Team Kendall's youngest, long-time users of Kendall Motor Oil. "I've been using Kendall Motor Oil for 16 years," he pointed out. "I love it because it has helped protect my motor through extreme racing conditions, and it keeps my vehicles' parts from failing."
Marketer Travis Kessler of Colonial Oil Industries Inc. of Hannahan, S.C. attest that Hall and his family are key players in their racing community. "They know how to work well together, and it's great to see Ryan carry on his grandfather's legacy," he noted. "We're all rooting for Ryan and hope to see him succeed this season."
Hall is halfway through his 2012 season, and he is competing in the Late Model division at his local track, Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, S.C. "My main goal this season is to win the Track Championship at Dillon," he stated. "And to make my granddad proud."
