Team Kendall Racer of the Month - September 2013 - Kyle Genualdo

09/26/2013

Although he’s new to the racing scene, 10-year-old Kyle Genualdo is quickly making a name for himself at his local track, New England Dragway in Epping, N.H., and we’re pleased to name him as our Racer of the Month for September.

Genualdo, who competes in the Junior Dragster class, started racing three years ago and has already earned enough points to keep him in the top 15 each year. “I always loved visiting the track with my dad when he raced,” said Genualdo. “After watching other kids my age compete, I begged him to let me try it out.”

Since he began racing, Genualdo has seen great success by taking home several second-place wins. However, his proudest accomplishment happened earlier this year. “I finished first at the ‘Jet Cars Under the Stars’ race at my local track a few weeks ago, which was my first time winning,” he pointed out. “It was awesome to win, but I especially loved that all my friends were there to see it.”

Coming from a small town, Genualdo’s opportunities to meet other kids his age are limited, so racing has become more than just a hobby for him and his family—it has become a lifestyle.

“I’ve made a lot of new friends through racing, and now our parents are all friends—it’s really cool,” shared Genualdo. “I hope I can continue racing when I’m older because I truly love the sport.”

After closing out his third racing season and first year with Team Kendall, Genualdo is already looking forward to getting back on the track next year. He’ll continue to compete in the Junior Dragster class with his 2005 Half Scale, and he hopes to finish in the top ten.

“Kyle is new to the Team Kendall program, and we’re excited to have him on our roster! We look forward to tracking Kyle’s progress throughout his racing career,” said Marketer Wendy A. Robertson of GH Berlin Windward in East Hartford, Conn.

We congratulate Genualdo on being Team Kendall’s Racer of the Month for September and look forward to watching him grow both on and off the track.
