Team Kendall Racer of the Month - October 2013 - Phill Youlten

10/30/2013

We’re pleased to announce Australian racer Phill Youlten as our Team Kendall Racer of the Month for October. Youlten has been racing competitively for more than 15 years in the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) and is seen as a fierce competitor across the country.

Throughout the years, Youlten has frequently made his way to the top 10 in the ANDRA’s Super Sedan division, beating out thousands of skilled drivers. In 2010, Youlten achieved his proudest accomplishment to date—winning the divisional championship.

“People come from all over to watch the ANDRA meetings, and it’s such a thrill to know there are so many fans out there watching,” shared Youlten. “The adrenaline rush and the folks I’ve met are really what keep me going!”

In 2011, Youlten moved up a division into the more competitive Sportsman class. While admitting it was a challenge adjusting to the new class, he has still been able to reach the semifinals and finals in the majority of the races in which he’s competed.

Although this is Youlten’s first year with Team Kendall, he’s been using Kendall Motor Oil for most of his racing career. In fact, he attributes much of his success to Kendall, which helps protect and maintain his vehicle.

“I’m proud to be a part of the Team Kendall family and hope to continue representing the brand out on the track,” continued Youlten. “I’m a very loyal person, so I’m happy to promote the things I believe in.”

“Phill is a great advocate of Kendall and we are pleased to support his efforts,” said Marc Goulding of Petrogas Pty Ltd in Victoria, Australia. “We are thrilled to be part of his success and look forward to continue watching him excel.”

Next season, Youlten will continue to compete in the ANDRA Sportsman class, traveling throughout the country. His goal for the 2014 season is to maintain his momentum while taking home another division championship.

We wish Youlten the best of luck and look forward to watching him on the track next year!
