Team Kendall Racer Spotlights
As the 2013 season comes to a close for many drivers this month, we want to take a moment to spotlight two of Team Kendall’s standout racers from the year—Ryan Hall and Bobby Elliott. Both have shown that hard work and determination lead to success, and we’re excited to share their highlights from this season.
Ryan Hall of Dillon, S.C., Team Kendall’s July 2012 Racer of the Month, is one of our most consistent racers as he finishes in first place regularly and continues to improve his driving technique. This year, Hall not only met his goal for the season, but he won more than half of the races in which he competed.
“At the end of last season, my goal was to win the 2013 Track Championship at Dillon Motor Speedway, and that’s what we did,” shared Hall. “I think it’s important to set goals and show progression—that’s what keeps me motivated each year.”
Throughout the 2013 season, Hall competed in the Late Model division, fueling his engine with Kendall Motor Oil as he’s done for the past 17 years. “I’m always looking for ways to improve, but one thing I will never change is using Kendall Motor Oil,” he added. “It continues to work well, and I never have engine failure; I truly believe Kendall has helped get me where I am today.”
Next season, Hall will continue to race with his 2012 Chevy Impala Super Sport and hopes to compete in the United Auto Racing Association (UARA) division, where he will tour throughout the Southeast.
Bobby Elliott is our newest and youngest Team Kendall racer. At seven years old, he has finished among the top three in an impressive nine races and among the top five in several more. During his 2013 season, Elliott moved to the more competitive Junior Honda division in the Capitol Quarter Midget Association at his local track in Lansing, Mich.
“This season was tough because I was in a higher division, but I did my best and ended up finishing in the top five in the Tri-City Racing Series,” said Elliott. “I’m really excited for next year because I will be competing with my new 2013 Nervo G-9!”
In addition to racing with a new vehicle, Elliott will be competing in two divisions—Junior Honda as well as Junior Animal, and he hopes to finish in the top three overall for points accumulated.
The 2013 season has wrapped up for both Hall and Elliott, but we wish them the best of luck in 2014 and look forward to watching them continue to excel.
