Educational sessions, Young Eagles Leadership Award and longtime popsicle happy hour were among highlights at Wittman Regional Airport
HOUSTON – (Aug. 20, 2026) – Phillips 66® Aviation and Phillips 66® Lubricants participated in another successful week at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, held July 20–26 at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The signature convention brought together pilots, aircraft owners, mechanics and aviation enthusiasts from around the world for a mix of education, innovation and hands-on experiences at one of the industry’s most anticipated events.
“AirVenture Oshkosh continues to be one of the most energizing weeks of the year for our team,” said Renee Semiz, General Manager, Finished Lubricants and Base Oils, Phillips 66® Lubricants. “It’s an opportunity to connect with customers, share technical expertise and celebrate the people who make the aviation community so special. Every year, we’re reminded of the passion and dedication that drives the aviation industry forward.”
Throughout the duration of the week, the Phillips 66® Aviation Fuels & Lubricants team hosted lively, engaging educational sessions, showcased exclusive show specials and participated in thoughtful interviews on EAA radio. Additionally, the company presented the Phillips 66® Aviation Young Eagles Leadership Award, and welcomed hundreds of attendees to its annual popsicle happy hour.
Education remained a cornerstone of the week’s activities. Keith Clark, Senior Specialist, QC and Technical Support, Phillips 66® Aviation and Molly Merritt, Specialist, Technical Services, Phillips 66® Lubricants, led exemplary sessions on aviation processes and resources, reinforcing Phillip 66’s commitment to helping customers make informed maintenance decisions and keep aircraft safe and operating at their best. Clark and Merritt also shared their expertise on EAA Radio, discussing aviation safety, quality control and lubricants with listeners tuning in from around the world.
One of the week’s most meaningful moments was the presentation of the 2026 Phillips 66® Aviation EAA Young Eagles Leadership Award to Patrick Cohenour, Young Eagles Coordinator for EAA Chapter 24 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The annual award recognizes an individual or organization that has made an extraordinary impact on the Young Eagles program by inspiring and mentoring the next generation of aviators. Cohenour has dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours to introducing young people to aviation through free introductory flights, creating opportunities that inspire future pilots, engineers and aviation professionals.
