AMMONIA COMPRESSOR OIL
INHIBITED PARAFFINIC CIRCULATING OIL FOR AMMONIA REFRIGERATION COMPRESSORS
Phillips 66® Ammonia Compressor Oil is an inhibited paraffinic circulating oil crafted for use in reciprocating and rotary screw compressors in industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia or carbon dioxide.
This compressor oil is uniquely formulated to resist degradation from exposure to nitrogen compounds and acids formed when compressed ammonia interacts with the oil and condensed water. It provides excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures, minimizing sludge and varnish formation to ensure a long service life.
With a low pour point, it's ideal for sub-zero cooling in ammonia refrigeration systems. It also has superior water-separating properties to minimize emulsion formation, provides robust protection against rust and corrosion, and resists excessive foam buildup that could hinder proper lubrication.
Ammonia Compressor Oil meets the performance requirements of major manufacturers of ammonia refrigeration compressors. However, it's not recommended for use with CFC, HCFC, or HFC refrigerants such as Freon®-12, Freon®-22, or R-134a.
