EL MAR® LA4 EXD
NEXT-GENERATION, LOW-ASH NATURAL GAS ENGINE OIL
Phillips 66® El Mar LA4 EXD GEO is a premium low-ash, dispersant-detergent gas engine oil designed for high-output four-stroke and some two-stroke natural gas engines operating under severe conditions. It is ideal for stoichiometric and lean-burn engines fueled by natural gas or LPG, commonly used in crude oil and gas transmission pipelines, power generation, gas compression, irrigation pumps, and well drilling rigs.
Formulated with high-quality Group II base stocks and advanced additive technology, El Mar LA4 EXD GEO meets the demanding lubrication needs of modern, fuel-efficient, low-emission gas engines. It offers exceptional resistance to oxidation and nitration, a balanced alkaline reserve (TBN) to neutralize acids over extended service intervals, and protection against ring and liner wear. By minimizing sludge and piston deposits, this oil helps deliver superior engine cleanliness while guarding against corrosion.
It also protects against valve stem deposits and recession, helping reduce maintenance and extend engine life. The additive package's low phosphorus content meets the requirements of gas engines equipped with catalysts for exhaust aftertreatments.
El Mar LA4 EXD GEO has demonstrated the capability to extend oil service intervals without compromising engine performance or component life. The use of high-quality, low-volatility base stocks helps reduce oil consumption, minimize exhaust system deposits and reduce the amount of make-up oil needed, resulting in lower operating costs.
